Laboratory Tests

A wide panel of laboratory tests are available. Examples include testing for anemia, liver function, kidney disease, diabetes, cholesterol and infections. Most laboratory results are available in a few days and are provided at a nominal fee. Some testing results are available the same day, such as testing for strep throat, mono, diabetes, bladder infections and pregnancy. Some of the most common diagnostic and screening laboratory tests performed at the Student Health Clinic are as follows:

  • Complete blood count (CBC)
  • Complete metabolic panel (CMP)
  • Chlamydia and gonorrhea
  • Glucose
  • Herpes serum
  • Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)
  • Human papilloma virus (HPV)
  • Interferon-gamma release assays (IGRA) (tuberculosis blood test)
  • Lipids
  • Mononucleosis (Mono) rapid screen
  • Pap
  • Pregnancy test
  • Streptococcal (strep) rapid screen
  • Syphillis (rapid plasma regain or RPR)
  • Thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH)
